Drew is an idealist. Instead of exhaustively searching for obscure ways to make my person sound even the slightest bit interesting to a race apathetic and cadaverous, I've concluded one can gain a relatively accurate analysis of Drew and all that ensnares her, through the contents of this blog. It's all gravy here.

Anonymous asked: Hi :) just wondering what steps you took to getting your hair that white colour and also what brands you used? I tried for ages and in the end gave up aha

Ah, of course. Well, the light blonde was definitely a process. Going solid blonde like that really compromises the hair’s integrity. So after I initially went platinum, I pampered the hell out of it. No hot tools, no more chemical processes for an entire month. THEN once my hair was a bit stronger, I did a bleach wash. Which is just shampoo and lightener. It’s not nearly as damaging as straight bleach and developer. THEN, I tone it a lot and use a violet/blue base shampoo. Toning makes a world of difference.

As for product/brands, here’s the breakdown:

The bleach: Paul Mitchell’s Dual Purpose Lightener and Paul Mitchell’s Synchro Lift.

The developer: I would use Paul Mitchell as well. I used 20 volume cream with the Dual Purpose and then 30 volume cream with Synchro Lift.

The toner: Also Paul Mitchell; Ultra Toner Platinum, or as we call it in the salon, UTP.

Shampoo/Conditioner: Is Pravana’s Pure Light shampoo and conditioner. I HIGHLY recommend this shampoo too anyone who does not want to see any warmth (yellow or orange tones) in their blonde hair. It gets the job done, and does it well. Use it sparingly, however. It varies with how often yiu wash your hair, but once or twice a week should manage perfrctly. The shampoo itself is a deep indigo color, so it’s kinda scary at first thinking, “Is my hair going to be purple??” The answer is no, AS LONG as you leave it on for roughly 3-5 minutes, five being the absolute maximum. Any longer and your hair will come out with violet and blue tints, haha. Even if it did, it will wash out in the next wash or two. Another awesome thing about this Pravana Shampoo is that it’s sulfate free. (: Incredibly healthy for your hair, which is difficult to a platinum shampoo with hair preservation qualities. It smells fantastic, too.

I’m a huuuuuuge healthy hair nut, and a hair nut in general, lol. So if you have ANY questions at all regarding hair, by all means fire away. I hope I was able to provide you with the answers you were searching for, anon!

Namaste

It’s not typical for me to find a blonde male aesthetically pleasing, but Tate from American Horror Story…

Holy fuck, man. Violate me, please.

Anonymous asked: five interesting facts about yourself that the tumblr world doesnt know

Spectacular inquiry! (Not necessarily an inquiry, but whatever)  Considering a large portion of my inquirers swim in limpid pools of perversion and idiocy, this is a refreshing change of pace!  Finally something I don’t crinkle my nose at and end up deleting! So, let us begin!

1.  I’m OCD about having two of everything in terms of attire.  When purchasing an article of clothing or shoes, I preferably like to purchase two of the same thing.  A strange phobia exists within the abyss of my mind, that one will somehow become inadequate by means of stains, excessive wear, and whatever other states of weathering clothing is subjected to.  Thus, I’ll purchase another so I’m prepared for every contingency.  A horrid habit, I’m aware.

2.  I’m sure some of you have heard of the saying, “You’re never too poor to buy quality toilet paper”, or something along those lines.  I’ve tailored it into something philosophical that I live by.  “You’re never too poor to purchase quality shampoo and conditioner.”  The health of my hair is something I intend to preserve for as long as possible, and there’s simply no doing that by frequently using your standard Suave shampoo.  All of those shampoos you see at your local grocery store, contain sulfates and other harsh chemicals that does your hair more damage than good.  And the salon brands you see in grocery stores are diluted, and sold to you at salon price.  You are NOT receiving what you pay for.  PURCHASE YOUR HAIR PRODUCTS FROM A RELIABLE SALON.  My hair is one of my favorite physical qualities, so I like to maintain its exceptionally good health.

3.  Facts 1. & 2. quite possibly make me appear as a high maintenance cuntrag.  By no means to I cater to the spoiled brat mentality.  I’m quite humble and occasionally too generous.  I’ve been taken advantage of on multiple accounts.  What’s worst, I don’t wish to believe it half of the time.

4.  I am one hell of a cook.  I make thee best grapeleaves on this side of the Mississippi.  I’ve yet to submit my recipe into a contest of some sort.  Chefs from Greece that work at the little Greek diners you see here and there, have told me my grapeleaves are superior to their own.  Bitches don’t know about my culinary skillz.

5.  Not about me directly, but an Uncle of mine owns one of the most famous recording studios in the history of music.  It’s completely timeless, and I think it’s one of the most extraordinary things.  Music is capable of awakening the soul, silencing the soul, penetrating your ability to perceive things, and move you entirely.  I’m a firm believer that everyone should attempt to learn at least one instrument in their lifetime.  My admiration and envy is among those who can pick up on an instrument, and play it effortlessly.  Remarkable!  I play ukulele, and I’m pretty crafty on the harmonica.
